The Mixer Event, an exchange platform for urban and cultural research initiated by HuaDu (Shanghai) Architecture & Urban Design Group (HDD), was successfully held at the experiential store of Urban China in the afternoon of June 14th. This summer party was based on the design plan of the experiential store to explore the spatial realization in the urban context, and invited architecture students from Tunisia, Italy, Turkey and other countries to share their architectural and cultural experiences during the travel about urban third spaces with HDD staff.
In order to enhance the knowledge complementation and information exchange between the international students and HDD staff, the five speakers of this event were composed of international students and HDD staff. The foreign students were Semrapakdemirli from Turkey and Sarra HADJI from Tunisia. The HDD speakers were Yi Zhang as electromechanical professional designer, Zijie Xu as a structural professional designer, and Ruqi Liu from the overseas marketing department. The speakers presented wonderful presentations and video on the spot, shared their own experiences, and had discussion and Q&A.

In addition to the speech and discussion, the event organizer prepared the traditional cuisine of Dragon Boat Festival for the break time, also introduced the important traditional festivals of Dragon Boat Festival to international students so that they learnt Dragon Boat Festival culture while enjoying the food.
After a short tea break, the "main dish" of the mixer event was on. eBstreme and Luca, the designer of the first scheme “Vein” in the competition, were invited to demonstrate the bookstore design. From the original scheme, the designer gradually introduced it, showing the origin and evolution of the scheme. While the international students and Huadu design staff watched the demonstration of the design, they could not help but imagine the current space, and constantly inspired the designers with more personal inspiration and creativity based on the live simulation.
